The calendar shows the wrong dates

Updated 19 August 2026

"Wrong" almost always means one rule you'd forgotten about is doing its job. Fastest route: ask Sparky "why is {date} unavailable for {postcode} with {product}?", and it will name the rule. Manual checklist:

The first available date is later than expected

  1. Cutoff already passed? After the cutoff, everything shifts a day. Check the current time against the cutoff in the cutoff's timezone. A wrong warehouse timezone quietly shifts your whole day. (Cutoffs)
  2. Preparation/lead time on a cart item? Mixed carts take the longest lead. (Lead times)
  3. Transit time for the shopper's zone: 2-day transit means the first delivery is dispatch+2 even with everything else instant.
  4. Earliest date store minimum. (Earliest/latest)

A specific day is missing

  1. Weekday off? Check your delivery days, and the per-profile delivery days if zones are on.
  2. Blocked date? Check the delivery date and its required ship date. A blocked Monday dispatch removes Tuesday delivery on 1-day transit. (Blocked dates)
  3. At capacity? Check the day on the Calendar tab of Order management for count / limit.
  4. Weekday-restriction rule on a product in the cart. (Rules)
  5. Saturday with a live carrier? Saturday delivery is off by default on UPS and FedEx profiles. Turn on Allow Saturday delivery on each profile. (Live carrier transit)

Dates differ between product page / cart / checkout

  • Checkout knows the shopper's real address; earlier surfaces may be showing the no-zone or default view until a postcode is entered. That narrowing is correct.
  • If they differ for the same address, you may have leftover legacy settings from an old setup. Contact support and we'll reconcile it.

A shopper's selected date "cleared" when the cart changed

Changing the cart re-runs the rules. If the new item carries a lead time or restriction that invalidates the chosen date, the date resets rather than promise something false. The shopper just picks again from the corrected calendar. If it happens with no rule to explain it, that's one for support with the product and postcode.

Recently changed settings but the storefront hasn't caught up

Give it a few minutes and hard-refresh (settings propagate globally; checkout rates also sit in Shopify's 15-minute cache).
