Store pickup (click & collect)

Let customers collect instead of receiving. Pickup has its own calendar, its own hours, and clean tagging, so pickup orders never get mixed into your shipping run.

Set it up

1. Open Date availability and switch to the Pickup tab.
2. Turn pickup on and configure its calendar. It is deliberately separate from delivery:
   • available pickup days,
   • blocked pickup dates,
   • earliest pickup (minimum notice),
   • pickup cutoff times,
   • pickup time windows (collection hours).
3. Choose how the picker offers it: delivery only, pickup only, or let shoppers choose between Ship and Store pickup. The picker shows a Shopify-style toggle, and you can edit its wording in storefront copy.
4. Save.

Make sure your Shopify local pickup locations are set up (Shopify Settings → Shipping and delivery → Local pickup). At checkout, Flare works with Shopify's native pickup, so payment and receipts behave normally.

How it behaves

• A shopper who chooses pickup sees the pickup calendar and windows, not delivery dates. No shipping address or shipping rates get involved.
• The order arrives tagged Pickup on {date}, plus a pickup tag and a location tag, so multi-location stores can filter each site's collection list instantly.
• The Pickup date view on Order management shows each day's collections. To cap how many orders a day takes, see order limits.
• The pickup date shows on the thank-you and order status pages as "Pickup date", and the email snippet automatically uses pickup wording.
• Pickup orders aren't put on fulfilment hold. They're prepared for collection, not dispatch.

Good to know

• Give each collection point its own days and hours with pickup profiles.
• Pickup rules are fully independent: Sunday can be off for delivery but on for collection; pickup can allow same-day while delivery is next-day.
• Checkout's date guard validates pickup dates against the pickup calendar, so stale or over-capacity collection slots are blocked at payment like any delivery date.
