Add the date picker to your product page
Updated 23 July 2026
Show the calendar before add-to-cart when the date is part of the buying decision — gifts, cakes, flowers, made-to-order items — or when availability differs per product.
Set it up
- In Flare, open Date selector and choose Product page. Flare opens the theme editor on your default product template.
- Confirm the Product Page Date Picker block appears in the left panel (Flare adds it automatically; otherwise Add block → Apps → Product Page Date Picker).
- Click Save.
- Back in Flare, confirm the step.
Check it worked
Open any physical product on your storefront. The picker renders above the Add to cart button with your configured label (default: "Choose your estimated delivery date").
How it behaves
- The chosen date is attached when the shopper adds to cart, and carries through to checkout and the order. Shoppers who browse without adding to cart don't leave stale dates behind.
- With shipping zones enabled, the product page picker can also ask for country/postcode and show shipping options, so the dates are accurate for the shopper's address.
- If you use per-day delivery surcharges, the calendar shows the +£ badge on affected days, and the surcharge is added to the cart with the product.
- Selected-date and signature rules work exactly as on the cart page.
Rules to know
- Keep the SLIDE CART Date Picker app embed off unless you're deliberately running a drawer setup instead.
- Only one Product Page Date Picker block should exist on the template — a duplicate shows two calendars.
- To place the block elsewhere on the page (e.g. below variant options), see Repositioning the block.
If it doesn't show
See I can't see the date picker — usual causes: block missing from the default product template, a stray cart block, or the product isn't marked as physical.
