Date availability

Earliest and latest selectable dates

Updated 23 July 2026

Control the booking window: how soon the first available date is, and how far ahead customers can book.

Set it up

  1. Open Date availability in the Flare navigation.
  2. Set Earliest date customers can choose — the number of days from today for the first selectable date.
    • 0 = same-day allowed (combine with a cutoff so it closes at the right time).
    • 1 = next-day at the earliest (the default).
    • Example: today is 1 June and earliest is 2 → first selectable date is 3 June.
  3. Set Latest date customers can choose — how many days ahead the calendar extends. Default is 90.
  4. Click Save.

Rules to know

  • These are store-wide floors and caps. Per-product exceptions (a cake needing 3 days, a preorder launching in October) belong in Product & customer rules — when both apply, the stricter rule wins.
  • The earliest date interacts with cutoffs and transit: setting earliest to 0 doesn't force same-day to appear — the order still has to make the cutoff and have zero transit time.
  • Short windows (7–14 days) suit fresh food; long windows suit gifting and preorder. There's no penalty either way — capacity is controlled separately by order limits.
