I can't see the date picker
Updated 23 July 2026
Work through this checklist top to bottom — it resolves the vast majority of cases in under five minutes.
1. Is Flare on?
Flare Home → the app toggle should be on, and the Extensions panel shows which surfaces are Active. Anything "Not active" is your target.
2. Right block for your cart type?
The most common cause. Check which cart you actually have — cart page or cart drawer? — then in the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize):
- Cart page setups need the Cart Page Date Picker block on the cart template, and the SLIDE CART Date Picker app embed OFF (App embeds panel, top left).
- Cart drawer setups need the SLIDE CART Date Picker app embed ON, and no Cart Page Date Picker block.
- Product page setups need the Product Page Date Picker block on the default product template (check the template picker at the top — it must be the one your products use).
Seeing two calendars means two blocks/embeds are active — remove one.
3. Are the products physical?
The picker only renders for shippable items. On each product (per variant): Shipping → "This is a physical product" must be ticked. Gift cards and digital items never show a picker — by design.
4. Is a rule hiding it?
Check Product & customer rules for hide rules matching the product, and whether Hide date selector for out-of-stock items is on while a cart line is out of stock.
5. Theme saved and cache cleared?
Click Save in the theme editor, then test in a new incognito window — cached storefront pages are a classic false alarm.
6. Conflicting apps?
Another delivery-date app (even uninstalled ones that left theme code) or an incompatible cart-drawer app can suppress the picker. Known incompatible: Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer. Deactivate the other app's blocks and retest.
7. Old theme?
If adding the block errors with "Liquid templates don't support sections and blocks" — see theme errors; your theme is pre-2.0.
Still missing?
Jump on live chat with your store URL and cart type — heavily customised drawers sometimes need a one-off manual placement, which we do for you. You can also ask Sparky to check your storefront placement status.
