Add the date picker to your cart drawer (slide cart)

If clicking the cart icon slides a panel in from the side instead of opening a /cart page, you have a cart drawer. Flare supports it with an app embed rather than a block.
Set it up
- In Flare, open Storefront experience.
- In the Date picker location card, set Editing to Cart drawer.
- Click Enable on Cart drawer, then click Open theme editor. Flare opens the App embeds area.
- Turn on SLIDE CART Date Picker.
- Click Save.
- Return to Flare. Flare checks the embed and marks Cart drawer Live. If the badge still reads Not live, click Check again.
Check it worked
On your storefront, add a product and open the cart drawer. The picker appears above the drawer's checkout button.
Rules to know
- Don't also add the Cart Page Date Picker block. The drawer embed is site-wide. It stands down if it detects a picker block on the page, but running both on purpose is unsupported and can double-render. Use one cart style per store.
- The embed works with most theme-native drawers (including Dawn) and popular drawer apps like SlideCart HQ and UpCart. Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer is not compatible. If your drawer is heavily customised, test it and contact support if the picker doesn't render. Some drawers need a manual placement from our team.
- All calendar rules, wording, and styling are shared with the other locations. Set the rules on Date availability, and the wording and styling on Storefront experience.
If it doesn't show
See I can't see the date picker. Check that the embed is on, that no cart-page block is also active, that the products are physical, and that your theme changes were saved.
