Add the date picker to your cart drawer (slide cart)

If clicking the cart icon slides a panel in from the side (rather than opening a /cart page), you have a cart drawer. Flare supports it with an app embed rather than a block.
Set it up
- In Flare, open Date selector and choose Slide cart as the location. Flare opens the theme editor.
- In the theme editor, open App embeds (left sidebar, puzzle-piece icon).
- Toggle SLIDE CART Date Picker on.
- Click Save.
- Back in Flare, confirm the step.
Check it worked
On your storefront, add a product and open the cart drawer. The picker appears above the drawer's checkout button.
Rules to know
- Don't also add the Cart Page Date Picker block. The drawer embed is site-wide; if it detects a picker block on the page it stands down, but running both intentionally is unsupported and can double-render. One cart style per store.
- The embed works with most theme-native drawers (including Dawn) and popular drawer apps like SlideCart HQ and UpCart. Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer is not compatible. If yours is heavily customised, test and contact support if the picker doesn't render — some drawers need a manual placement from our team.
- All calendar rules, wording, and styling are shared with the other locations — configure them in Date availability and Date selector.
If it doesn't show
See I can't see the date picker: check the embed is on, no cart-page block is also active, the products are physical, and your theme changes were saved.
